Well, it hasn’t quite been a year. So thats something to look at as an achievement I guess? The last few months have been interesting for me. I moved down one floor in my apartment building to updagrade to a larger apartment. I also got married right before Christmas! Things have been stressful to say the least.
Work has been going increadibly well. We just finished one of the best sprints we have had since forming as a team. Things felt really good and I was more productive than I’ve ever been. Overall I can continue to feel myself becoming a stronger and stronger engineer. This goes doubly as I realize I’m finding the support and mentorship I’ve been looking for from my teammates.
I need to continue to step up and grow as a developer. So, with that I’m going to start documenting my journey a bit better. Hopefully writing at least once a week or so, I imagine this will come in the form of both writings of personal events and things happening in my life and that of professional musing and achievement. I’ll try and find a way to mark both accordingly.
You see I don’t draw much distinction in my work and personal life. My work is my lifes work and my life is something that happens within’ that structure. My lifes work is not sprint its a marathon. To me it’s something to be enjoyed and savored, life is short, and I believe we should try to enjoy what we do.
Attack of Opportunity is likely on indefinate hiatus as I continue to sort things out here in Detroit. The constant flow of major life events makes any sort of routine hard to come by, and I am definately a creature of routine. Additionally, I’ve started dabbling in music again its one of those things I keep coming back to as a passion project. I think I’m going to try and not put it down this time.
