I love to build beautiful, functional products for the web that value a quality user experience. I am passionate about technology and what it brings to our future. Technology should be something that enhances our lives, and the web is a wonderful tool to make that happen. Whether its a web application or a web site for a small business, I want the products I build to be the absolute best experience they can.
I have a very wide array of work experience having worked for several years at a movie theater as a supervisor, security supervisor in a hospital emergency room, convenient store clerk, running a dye casting machine, working as a visiting home health aide and in a Hospice residence specializing in end of life care for more than six years.
I started building websites the moment I first got my hands on the web in 1996. I started using GeoCities building nothing in particular. From there I continued to build websites for years, building a website for my high school choir in 2001, starting treykane.com in 2003 and a website for a small business, The Redbook of Fruit Jars, in 2004. I fromerly worked at Longerdays.com as Lead Developer. As Lead Developer I was directly involved in shaping the web team, and projects for LongerDays.com. I was also the Digital Project Manager for Revel Marketing, where I managed and contributed to a large number of web development projects. I am currently a Front End Developer at Red Ventures.
Over the last several years all of the innovations shaping the web have changed how we must respond as Web Developers. Going forward the technology and devices shaping our future are going to force us into a constant state of change and adaptation. I believe as a Web Developer that it is my job to continue learning everything I can, keeping up with trends and technologies while doing my best to identify the technology of the future. I will never stop trying to know more and be better at what I do.
